Weslaco - Maria de Jesus Ortiz Escamilla, 42, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Valley Baptist Micro Hospital.
Ms. Escamilla was born May 25, 1982, in Vista Hermosa, Michoacan, Mexico daughter of Esteban Ortiz and Margarita Escamilla.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jose Guadalupe Melgoza; her children, Alexis Melgoza, Jose Emmanuel Melgoza and Abigail Melgoza; her brothers, David Ortiz, Javier Ortiz, Jesus Ortiz, Julio Ortiz, Carlos Ortiz; her sisters, Teresa Ortiz, Guadalupe Ortiz, Angelita Ortiz, Isabel Ortiz, Nancy Ortiz, Rosa Ortiz and Sandra Ortiz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
