Maria Victoria Ramirez, beloved mother to seven children, and 3 grandchildren, 64 years of age, of Gonzales, Texas, passed away peacefully in Luling, Texas on February 28. Throughout her fulfilling life she maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, faith, appreciation of life, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful and beautiful memories.

She was born in San Luis Potosí estación catorce in 1961 to Fermin Lopez Gomez and Maria Isabel Cordova, and grew up with 11 siblings. Maria studied cosmetology and private accounting.

Maria spent her early years in San Luis Potosí, living with her mother and father, where she felt very loved and supported. Later living in Pedas Negas working at a ceramic factory. Maria loved going out dancing with all her friends. After some time she moved to the United States. Maria always knew she wanted to someday raise a big family of her own. In 1989 she was introduced to Ruperto Ramirez at a dance here in Gonzales at the Hermann Son's. Maria knew she had met the person with whom she would want to build a family. Married just 1 year later in June of 1990, Maria and Ruperto maintained a loving and support-filled marriage for 35 years up until Ruperto's passing in 2024.

Maria was a devoted mother to Roberto Carlos Ramirez, Jorge Luis Ramirez, Victor Manuel Ramirez, Ruby Isabel Rentería, Kimberly Giselle Ramirez, Alejandro Jesus Ramirez and Kelly Abigail Ramirez, and a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren Julie Abigail Ramirez, Kylie Juliet Ramirez, and Emily Alyssa Ramirez which were her pride and joys. She loved spending time with her 3 granddaughters. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.

She had many hobbies which included collecting figurines, jewelry, spending time with family, watching telenovelas, going to garage sales, crossword puzzles, and loved to talk and be social anywhere she was. She especially loved going to church. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She attended the Lockhart branch with her children every Sunday. She was a devout member who had a strong faith in Christ.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents Fermin Lopez Gomez, Maria Isabel Cordova, and her sister Martha Lopez Ruiz, and is survived by siblings Maria del Socorro Lopez Ruiz, Jose Lopez Ruiz, Rosahura Lopez Ruiz, Maria Guadalupe Lopez de Garcia, Rosamaria Lopez Ruiz, Martha Lopez Ruiz, Maria Juliana Page, Fermin Lopez Ruiz, Carolina Reyna, Xóchitl Ramírez de Saldaña. They who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 10 am at Seydler Hill Funeral Home.
