Maria C. Rodriguez passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024 at the age of 88 surrounded by family in La Vernia, Texas. Maria was born on September 03, 1935 in Seguin to her loving parents Juan and Catarina Campos, and she also raised by her stepmother Beatrice Campos.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband Dionisio Rodriguez, parents Juan and Catarina Campos, stepmother Beatrice Campos, sisters Hermenia Campos, Luisa Casillas and brother Jesus Gonzales.
She is survived by her son Juan Rodriguez and wife Maren of Seguin and daughter Racquel Wederstrandt and husband David Sr. of La Vernia; grandchildren: Ashley Koepp and husband Levi, Dionisio (DJ) Rodriguez, David Wederstrandt Jr., Emily Wederstrandt, Tyler Wederstrandt, Benjamin Rodriguez, Stella Rodriguez and Jensen Rodriguez; great grandchildren Canan, Sawyer and Reed Koepp.
Maria was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt to many nieces and nephews, whom she cared for and loved. She was a devoted woman of faith. She loved her plants, playing bingo, working on her puzzles and cooking for her family.
Visitation will be held at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart Goetz Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. with interment following at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a memorial luncheon following services at 1:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 1015 S. Austin St. Seguin, Texas 78155.
