Maria "Gloria" Rodriguez

Maria 'Gloria' Solis Rodriguez, of Castroville, Texas, passed away October 30, 2025 at the age of 82. She was born July 9, 1943 in Hondo, Texas, to Apolonio Solis, Sr. and Laura Mascorro Solis Gomez.

Survivors include her husband, Camilo 'Camel' Rodriguez; children, Macey Starr (Jesse Esquivel), Molly Rodriguez, and Nalissa Rodriguez (Victor) all of Castroville; grandchildren, Lisa Starr (Ricky), Rachel Starr (Albert), Clarissa Starr (Roland), Xianna Esquivel, Jesse Esquivel, Jr., Jonathon Book (Tiffany), Brandon Book, Marly Book (Chris), Gloria Ybarra, Maria Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Jr. and Samuel Rodriguez; eighteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Carlos Solis, Gene Gomez (Jeanie), Gary Gomez (Margie), and David Guel (Olivia); sisters, Martha Moreno and Alice Ybarra; brother-in-law, Conrad Valderrama.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Eduardo Gomez; son-in-law, Marty Book; brothers, Apolonio Solis, Jr. (Lilley), Mario Solis, Abram Solis, Ruben Solis, and Juan "Johnny Joe" Solis; sisters, Esperanza Solis, Dorothy Solis, Maria Valderrama, and Ernestina Vidales (Roberto); brothers-in-law, Thomas E. Ybarra and Frank Moreno; sister-in-law, Andrea Rivera Solis.

Visitation will be Monday, November 17, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the church.
