Maria dos Anjos (Tavares-Teodoro) Silva, 72, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Saint Anne's Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joao M. Silva.
Born in Rosário do Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal on August 24, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Medeiros Teodoro and Maria Francelina Tavares.
Maria worked early on in her career in the local textile industry, and later as a housekeeper. The absolute highlight of her life was her family; she was a devoted matriarch who cherished taking care of them and ensuring everyone was okay. Cooking was her passion, and she loved bringing family together for Sunday lunches. A faithful parishioner of Santo Christo Church, Maria also loved shopping, especially with her daughter.
She is survived by her loving children: Ana Silva (husband Chris), Marco Silva (wife Luisa), Reinaldo Silva, and Kevin Silva (wife Amanda). She was the cherished grandmother of Alexia, Amaya, Lailah, Adrian, Valentina, Antonio, and Karina. She also leaves behind her siblings, Maria do Carmo (late husband Eduardo), Eduardo Teodoro (wife Olga), and Maria Isabel Da Silva (late husband Mario), and was predeceased by her brother, the late Antonio Medeiros. She will also be dearly missed by her fur babies, Reese and Pluto, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Santo Christo Church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River.
