Maria Rosario Urgiles

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Maria Rosario Urgiles Urgiles on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Maria dealt with many illness's in her life with courage and faith, she fought the good fight wilth her devotion to her faith. She always kept her smile and good spirits until the end. Maria was born on December 27, 1967 in Azoguez, Ecuador. She relocated to New York City and then moved to the Village of Haverstraw where she raised her family. Maria is survived by her devoted family, her two sons; Michael Jimmy Sucuzhanay Urgiles and Adonis Christopher Sucuzhanay Urgiles, brothers, Luis Urgiles and Segundo Urgiles, sisters; Rosa, Nube, Arcila,and Blanca Urgiles. She was a member of Coro De La Virgen Nube, and she celebrated Mass in Ecuador and New York. Visitation will be held from 6:00- 9:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY 10927. Maria's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at St. Peter and St Mary's Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Route 9W in Haverstraw, New York.
