Nannie Lois Patat (Ussery) January 6, 1928 – October 2, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nannie Lois Patat (Ussery) better known as Lois on October 2, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on January 6, 1928, in Georgia, Lois brought warmth, strength, and love wherever life took her.
She later moved to New York, where she worked and eventually retired from Letchworth Village, a place where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. Known affectionately as "Grandma" to many beyond her own family, Lois' nurturing spirit and boundless generosity made her a mother and grandmother to everyone she met.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Patat, and her cherished granddaughter, Angelica, and her Brother and two sisters whom she held close in her heart always: James, Jerry, Jack, Nell and Juanita.
She is survived by her loving children: Yvonne Maley, Laura Jeanne (Richard) Rovegno, and Kevin Patat (Amy Mazza) and daughter-in-law Monique Patat, as well as her brother Ray Ussery.
Lois was the proud grandmother of Marc, Cara, Eric, Rebecca, Meagan, Faith, Damien, Anthony, Christopher, and Amber. Her legacy continues through her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Lois' life was a testament to love, resilience, and selflessness especially being a breast cancer survivor. Her home was always open, her arms always welcoming, and her heart always full. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the Graveside Funeral Service at 10:30 AM, on Friday, October 17th, 2025 at The Gary Onderdonk Veterans Memorial Cemetery (RCC Campus) 145 College Road Suffern NY 10901. A Celebration of Life for Lois will be held at a future date to be announced at the graveside.
