Marian “Toots” Holder
Marian (Toots) Holder, daughter of the late Zeno Welter and Alma (Glaus) Welter was born on December 13, 1933 in New Hamburg, Missouri and departed her life on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 91 years.
She was a homemaker and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Missouri. Mrs. Holder enjoyed playing Bingo, work in her flower beds, and spending time with family.
On May 30, 1953 she was united in marriage to William David “Bud” Holder in New Hamburg, Missouri. Mr. Holder preceded her in death on September 7, 2012.
Survivors include one son, Danny (Teresa) Holder of Scott City; one daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Birlew of Ceder Hill, Missouri; one sister, Lillian (Larry) Angle of Scott City; three grandchildren, Cory (Jennifer) Brant, Jason (Jennifer) Holder, and Courtney (Keith) Gross; four great-grandchildren, Jack Holder, Reese Holder, Taylor Brant, and Riley Brant; two step-grandsons, Nick and Zack Birlew; one step-great-grandson, Daemion Birlew; also, by other relatives and friends.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Welter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 8:30 until 10:00 AM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
