Marian Parks Kolibob, 94, of Jefferson Twp., died Sunday, August 24, 2025 after a lengthy illness. She is the widow of Albert S. Kolibob who died May 25, 1999.

Born August 20, 1931 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Maude (Kitchen) Parks. Marian was a 1949 graduate of Scranton Central High School and attended Lackawanna College.

Marian had a 47 year career in banking at Fidelity Bank of Dunmore. At the time of her retirement, she held the position of Vice President. Marian was a longtime member of the former Asbury United Methodist Church in Scranton, where she served as church treasurer for many years. She was a dedicated volunteer at Gino Merli Veterans Center for 20 years, was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed visiting Booth Bay Harbor, Maine.

Marian is survived by her trusted companion and caregiver, Michael W. Zabatta; her brother Paul Parks and wife Mary, her sister In-law Cathy Parks; her nieces: Beth, Deanna, Tara, and son Hunter, Jessica, Joyce, Liz, Dolores, Susan, Nesta, and Maria; her nephews: Jim and Alice Aebli, Brad and Barbara Biskaskas, Brian, Richard, and Keith. She was loved by many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marian was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred and Dale Parks; and her niece Nancy Woolam.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 12:00 noon in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA with Pastor Thomas Taylor as officiating clergy.

Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the funeral home.

Interment and committal prayers will be conducted at Abington Hills Cemetery, S. Abington Twp. PA

Memorial contributions may be to the Gino Merli Veteran Center, Residents Welfare Fund, 401 Penn Avenue Scranton, PA 18501
