Marian A. Lapos

Marian A. Lapos, 96 year old resident of Ponsford, MN, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Heritage Cottages in Park Rapids, MN. Funeral arrangements are pending. Caring for Marian and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls.
Marian Fietek was born in Little Falls, MN, on December 16, 1928, to the late Mike and Florence (Lipinski) Fietek. She grew up in Flensburg, MN, and was united in marriage to Donald Lapos on September 30, 1947. Marian and Donald lived on a dairy farm until they retired and moved to Flensburg. She was a homemaker and worked part-time at the Flensburg Creamery, where she wrapped meat. Marian loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN, and was a member of the choir, where she sang high soprano.
Marian is survived by her son Robert (Nancy) Lapos; grandchildren, Meigelle (Andrew) Cunningham, and Nolan Lapos; great-grandchildren, Maci, Pennie, Paige, and Josh Cunningham; brother, Mike (Marlene) Fietek; and sister, Judie Holz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Florence Fietek; husband Donald Lapos; son, Gilbert Lapos; sisters, Lorraine Fafara, & Evie Komarek; and brother, Roderick "Butch" Fietek.
