Marilyn Lapos Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, with a visitation starting at 9:30 AM Saturday at the church. Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Little Falls. Caring for Marilyn and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
Marilyn was born September 10, 1947 in Pierz, MN to the late Alvin and Helen (Gross) Loidolt. She was united in marriage to George L. Lapos on June 24, 1975. Together they raised three children on a farm in rural Randall, MN. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, seeing many places in the world with Las Vegas being her favorite. She enjoyed trips to local casinos and watching and cheering on the Minnesota Twins. She loved her family and particularly cherished her time with her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 48 years, George L. Lapos of Little Falls, MN; children, Brenda (Troy) Loeb of Hibbing, MN, Melissa (Aaron) Lapos of St. Cloud, MN, and Michael (Danielle) of West Fargo, ND; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Daniel (Margie) Loidolt of Pierz, MN, John Loidolt of St. Cloud, MN, Roger (Maxine) Loidolt of Clearwater, MN, Alvin (Betty) Loidolt of Foley, MN; sisters, Rosanne (Larry) Ihle of Burnsville, MN, Linda (Ronnie) Lussier of Hugo, MN, Judy (Chuck) Wildman of St. Cloud, MN, Carol (Tom) Reeves of Roseville, MN; sisters-in-law, Ann Marie Adamski and Mary Jo Lapos, both of Randall, MN.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Helen Loidolt; and granddaughter, Elise Marie Lapos.
