Mariann Denise "Charlie" Williams (née Curynski), age 72, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2025, in Rochester, New York.
Mariann was known to many as "Charlie," a nickname that reflected her spirited personality and warm presence. Over the years, she built a life rooted in love for her family and appreciation for the simple joys of life.
She devoted many years of service to Schum's Florist, where her eye for beauty and detail brought joy to countless people. Later, she spent over 25 years at Park Ave Chiropractic, where she became a beloved fixture-a steady, friendly face who made patients feel welcomed and at ease.
Mariann devoted over 50 years to her parish as a eucharistic minister and sacristan, serving with deep faith and quiet dedication. She also gave generously of her time at Joseph's Place Food Pantry, always offering compassion to those in need. Her life was a testament to service, love, and unwavering faith.
Mariann found great joy in gardening and reading-pastimes that reflected both her nurturing spirit and curious mind. She cherished sunrises and sunsets and found peace walking along the beach. Travel with family and friends was one of her greatest joys, not just for the destinations, but for the memories created along the way.
Mariann was preceded in death by her parents, Hilda and Walter. She leaves behind a loving family who will carry forward her memory: devoted husband Ralph, sons Steve (Lana) and Dan (Kristina); daughter Karen (Ike); granddaughters Megan and Gabbie. Her big sister Kathie; nieces Wendy (Merdie) and Amy (Chris), nephew John. As well as brother-in-law Dell; nephews Kris, and Jamie; niece Katie (Marc), her sister-in-law Patricia (Bob); nephews Dave (Pam) and Rob (Athena); as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mariann's legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for those around her. She will be profoundly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Family and friends are welcome Thursday, April 24th from 4-7pm at the Michael R. Yackiw Funeral Home 1650 Empire Blvd. Mariann's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 25th 9:30am at St. Theodore's Church. Interment will follow at White Haven Memorial Park.

Aunt Mariann was always so welcoming and always so upbeat and happy. Conversations with her always made you feel better. She will be greatly missed by our whole family. We are so very glad we had such a wonderful time with her and Ralph at Emily and Jake's wedding in NC last July

I´m so incredibly sorry for your loss. Mariann wasn´t just your mom-she truly felt like a second mother to me. She always made me feel like part of the family, welcoming me with open arms and the kind of love that stays with you forever. I´ll never forget the holidays at your house, how she´d make sure I had a seat at the table and a plate full of her amazing cooking. She had such a special way of making people feel at home, and I´m so grateful for all the memories I got to share with her. My heart is with you and your family. I´m here for you-always.
