Marianne Grimaldi Obituary
Marianne is Survived by her sons Peter Grimaldi and wife Winifred of Rocky Hill and Anthony Grimaldi of Cromwell. Her grandchildren Brendan Grimaldi (Michael), Amanda O'Brien (Kevin) and Anthony Grimaldi (Giovanna); and great grandchildren, Rocco and Enzo Grimaldi and Cole and Gavin O'Brien as well as her sisters-in-law Elaine and Ernestine Attanasio. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her very close friend Mary Tierney.
She is pre-deceased by her loving husband of nearly 71 years Peter A. Grimaldi; brothers Angelo, Philip, Carmine and Robert Attanasio as well as her sister Lidia Chamberlain.
Marianne spent many years providing administrative support to the family-owned home-heating business, Grimaldi Oil Co of Wethersfield as well as working at Keeney Manufacturing Company of Newington.
Marianne was an amazing cook! Savory or sweet everyone loved her "sauce", her roasts, pastries or anything she served! Anyone lucky enough to receive a tray of Christmas Cookies knows exactly how talented she was. Marianne loved a good book, a competitive canasta game or to immerse herself in needlework. She was a lifelong Red Sox fan but also enjoyed the UCONN Women's Basketball games. But above all, she was filled with love and great pride in her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marianne absolutely loved spending time with her family.
The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday June 10, 2025, from 3:30PM to 5:00PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT 06067 with a Chapel Service in Marianne's honor to follow. The burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Association www.heart.org
