Marianne Sinclair Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beach Funeral Home - East - Satellite Beach on Mar. 11, 2026.
Marianne Sinclair, 89, of Satellite Beach, passed away on February 25th, 2026. Growing up as an Air Force brat she lived all over the world and moved eleven times before even graduating from high school. Her upbringing resulted in endless travel stories of Paris in the 1940s, or time in Turkey, and she could quickly rattle off Polish or Slovak phrases or have a conversation in French.

She attended University of Bridgeport to study Fashion Merchandising and met the love of her life, the Korean War Veteran Harry Sinclair, in Chemistry class. She and Harry lived in New York City before moving to Satellite Beach in 1960, to their forever home. They enjoyed just shy of 60 years together as a loving team, enjoying life as world travelers.

She was a pioneering member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and remained a dedicated parishioner, volunteering in a multitude of ways, for over sixty years. She enjoyed a career as a florist but also made jewelry, knit scarves, and could illustrate photo realistic portraits. She loved and rescued animals; even the neighborhood possums were well fed. She could grow an orchid just by looking at it. She could count cards and loved to win at any game, specifically Rummikub or Bingo. She never turned down a party invitation or an invitation to dance and she was a loyal friend.

She is survived by two children: Robbie Sinclair of Indian Harbour Beach Florida; and Amy Sinclair (Christian Covington) of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Skylor Sinclair and Shea Sinclair.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17th, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Visiting is to begin at 10:30 with mass to follow at 11. Refreshments and a celebration will follow mass. She definitely loved flowers but she loved animals even more, so in lieu of sending flowers, please consider a donation in her name to SPCA OF Brevard or to the Florida Wildlife Hospital
