It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mariano Augusto Martínez, a treasured soul who departed this life on October 6, 2025, in New York, NY. His legacy of compassion, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He spent his days between Honduras and New York, but his heart blossomed in Agua Fría, where he lovingly tended to his fruit trees. His presence radiated serenity, humility, and quiet strength, which comforted everyone around him.
Kind and joyful, with a wonderful smile and always ready to dance, he carried a gift for humor-able to lift spirits and draw out laughter even in the simplest moments. Generous and selfless, he was always the first to lend a hand to those in need.
Proud of his vocation as an accountant and mercantile expert, he served with integrity at the Public Ministry and the INA in Honduras. His life was defined by dedication, perseverance, and dignity-values he upheld throughout his life.
He made friends wherever he went, because he was easy to love: genuine, warm, and deeply human. Today, we remember him with profound gratitude, celebrating the light and love he shared so freely with the world.

Anunciamos con profundo pesar el fallecimiento de Mariano Augusto Martínez, un alma entrañable que partió de esta vida el 6 de octubre de 2025, en Nueva York, NY. Su legado de compasión, bondad y fortaleza permanecerá vivo en todos los que tuvimos el privilegio de conocerlo.
Pasó sus días entre Honduras y Nueva York, pero su corazón florecía en Agua Fría, donde cuidaba con esmero sus palos de frutas. Su presencia irradiaba serenidad, humildad y una calma que reconfortaba a quienes lo rodeaban.
Amable y alegre, con una sonrisa maravillosa y siempre listo para bailar, tenía también un don especial para las bromas, capaz de arrancar sonrisas y aliviar el alma en cualquier momento.
Generoso y solidario, siempre dispuesto a ayudar al que lo necesitaba, vivió con entrega y dignidad hasta su último día. Orgulloso de su labor como contador y perito mercantil, sirvió con integridad al Ministerio Público y al INA en Honduras.
