Maribel Mercado Jimenez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maribel Mercado Jimenez, who left us on November 1, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on September 27, 1958, in Puerto Rico, Maribel brought light and laughter into the lives of those around her. She spent her days as a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family.
Maribel is survived by her loving husband, Nelson Jimenez; her mother, Maribelia Cruz Lisojo; and her cherished daughters, Hadlis Torres and husband Eduardo Torres, Yisel Hernandez and husband Carlos Gonzalez. She was known for her kind spirit, and her ability to make anyone feel at home.
Maribel's life will be celebrated with a service on Saturday, November 8, 2025, 6:00 PM at Pueblo de Dios Inc., 214 Cresent Drive, Bessemer City, NC 28016. The family will gather to honor her memory and share stories that bring her spirit to life. We will keep everyone updated with the specifics of the services in the days to come.
Maribel will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating her beautiful life when the time comes. Rest in peace, Maribel.
