On July 2, 1960 Marcia Eileen Abraham was born to Carole Jean and Marcus Hannibal Abraham. In her early years, Marcia attended Stevenson High School where she graduated in 1978. She went on to attend City College in NYC. She graduate with a Bachelors degree in Education in 1982. Marcia went on to pursue a career in education in the late 1990s. She furthered her education at Touro College, and received her Masters degree in Reading Education.
Marcia started her career with the Board of Education at PS 214 in The Bronx New York for over 15 years. She has made a lot of friendships along the way, but most of all she loved working with the kids. She was a friendly and outgoing person. She always offered words of encouragement and hope to everyone she met. Marcia's favorite scriptures were: Matt 19:26, Isaiah 40:31 and Psalms 23, 121: 1-2.
In the early 80s, Marcia became a Christian and started attending Church of the Revelation in the Bronx New York. Marcia served the Lord faithfully there for many years as a worship leader, Sunday school teacher and church house cleaner on Saturdays. Later on the Lord, would call Marcia at Harvest field community church where she continued her faithful service as a nursery worker and worship leader. She would be the catalyst in her family for Jesus Christ through her prayers. She saw her immediate family members come to know Jesus like her.
With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Marcia Eileen Abraham, aged 63, of Palm Coast. Marcia. Her journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on April 30, 2024, at Stuart F Meyer Hospice House.
She leaves her mother Carole Jean Abraham to cherish her memory, along with her siblings Linda Abraham Montalvo, Marcus Eugene Abraham and James Kevin Abraham. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, a host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
She was, and still continues to be an impactful and motivational person to all who knew her. She is a true example of "Goodness" personified. She was loved by all.
A celebration of Marcia's remarkable life will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service, where Reverend James Abraham will officiate. Visitation will precede the ceremony, beginning at 1:00 PM, offering an opportunity for loved ones to gather, reminisce, and honor the beautiful life Marcia lived.
In recognition of the enduring connections Marcia fostered, the Celebration of Life Service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
