Maricar, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on January 11, 2026. She was lovingly known as “LaLa” by her grandchildren, a name that reflected the warmth and joy she brought to their lives.
Maricar was born on December 25, 1955, in Santiago, Philippines, to Gerardo and Maria Caridad. She earned her nursing degree from Quezon City Medical Center School of Nursing and dedicated her life to caring for others. A woman of loyal faith, she devoted her life to God and her family. She was the heart of her home, remembered for her captivating stories, hearty laughter, and her love for food and travel. Despite facing significant health battles, she remained a pillar of strength and resilience.
Maricar is survived by her husband, Frederick; her children, Ferdinand and Marigold; and her cherished grandchildren, Mahal and Malaya. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
