Marie C. Arvanetes

Marie C. Arvanetes, 88, of Hyde Park, died on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at home with her family by her side.
Born on January 3, 1937, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. DuPilka and Margaret T. Galvin DuPilka.
On June 11, 1958, in Hyde Park, NY, Marie married James N. Arvanetes. Mr. Arvanetes passed away on May 30th, 2022.
Devoted to her husband, Marie, helped develop Arvan's Mobile Court on Fallkill Road with her husband James, together they owned and operated the mobile home community for many years until their retirement.
Through the years Marie enjoyed snow birding to Ocala, Florida, and taking trips to various other places for mobile home shows with her husband.
Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends; they meant the world to her.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Dawn M. Harris, of Ocala, FL; two grandsons, Andrew J. Harris and wife, Shannon, of Rhinebeck and Austin M. Harris and wife, Chelsea, of Hyde Park; great-grandson, Jaxson Cole Harris; and great-granddaughter, Penelope Austin Harris.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also predeceased by a son, Nicholas J. Arvanetes whom share took care of for many years..
Calling hours will be from 10am to 12pm, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park, NY. Funeral services will begin at 12pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
