Obituary for Marie A. Bazela (1939-2025)
Marie A. Bazela, age 86, of Norristown, passed away peacefully, with her loving family at her bedside, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Paoli Hospital. Born in Swedesburg, Marie was the only child of the late John A. Wallace and the late Caroline H. (née Garay) Wallace, the loving wife for over 62 years of the late Francis Joseph Bazela, the loving mother of Regina Moroski, Renee Lannutti (Nicholas), the late Paula Sullivan (Dennis), Marcia Reichenbach (Chris) and Frankie Bazela (Jen), the proud grandmother of Ryan, Vinnie, Paige, Jordan, Nicholas, Cate, Rachel, Riley and Luke and the adoring great-grandmother (Gigi) of Oliver.
Marie was a graduate of West Catholic High School, Class of 1957 and then went on to become a Registered Nurse after her graduation in 1959 from Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing. After graduating, Marie had a long and fulfilling career at Montgomery Hospital as a medical-surgical nurse, until her retirement in 2004.
Mrs. Bazela was a long-time and devout member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish. She was an avid reader with her Kindle, enjoyed all types of craftwork, shopping on Amazon, playing Bingo, baking and cooking for her family, but her favorite times were spent attending her children's and her grandchildren's sporting events and taking them on Disney vacations. She will sorely be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation B.V.M. Church, 196 N. Trooper Road, Eagleville, PA 19403 on Thursday, November 13, where her family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. and her Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
