Edwina M. (Arthurs) McQuaid passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, PA. She was 89 years old. Edwina was a longtime resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked for many years as a nurse oncologist for Sacred Heart Hospital and then Suburban Woods Nursing & Rehab. Edwina enjoyed spending time at the Upper Merion Senior Center, especially to play bingo. She was an avid reader and loved knitting, cooking, and playing card games with her grandchildren.
Edwina was born in Oxfordshire, England on February 13, 1936. She was a daughter of John Thomas and Nora Tustian. She was also the beloved wife of Harry “Bud” J. McQuaid, with whom she was married for 58 years before his passing in 2013.
Edwina was adored and beloved by her children, Janet E. Hnatin and Christopher I. McQuaid (Colleen), along with her grandchildren, Brian, Gabrielle, John, Logan, and Lily; and son-in-law, John Hnatin. She is also survived by her son, Jeffrey J. McQuaid (Vicki) and grandchildren, Megan and Jeffrey.
She is preceded in death by her son, Richard P. “Ricky” McQuaid, who passed away in 1997.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 7, 2025 at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 from 10am to 11am. Words of Remembrance will begin at 11am. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
