Bacchi Funeral Home & CrematoryDorothy “Dot” K. (nee Kelly) Morio passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at her residence in King of Prussia, PA with her loving daughter by her side. Dot was a longtime resident of King of Prussia and a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church, where she was very involved in the choir. She had fond memories of her involvement with the annual MDP St. Patrick’s Day celebration. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Rosemont College and then became a school teacher. Dot had a deep love for music, playing piano and singing. In addition to MDP’s choir, she was integral in initiating, as well as being an active member in, the Sing-A-Long group at the Upper Merion Senior Center. She thoroughly enjoyed reading and trips to the Brigantine NJ shore.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 25, 1931, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Loretta (nee McGovern) and James F. Kelly, DDS. She was also the loving wife of Joseph “Joe” H. Morio, Sr., who passed away in 2015.
Surviving is her loving family including her daughter, Diane M. Jamison (William); three grandchildren, Wil Robinson, Ian Robinson (Katelyn), and Neve Morio; 3 step-grandchildren, Rachel Jamison, Robert Jamison, and Adam Jamison; 4 great grandchildren, Reed, Gabby, Cedar, and Ember; as well as her close nieces and nephews, many extended family members and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her son, Joseph H. Morio, Jr.; sister, Florence Bruce; and two brothers, James Kelly and Gerald Kelly, DDS.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, November 10th, 2025 at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd. King of Prussia, PA 19406 from 9am to 10:15am. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am. Words of remembrance will begin at 10:20am. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dot’s memory to Food for the Poor at https://foodforthepoor.org/
Arrangements are by the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Bridgeport, PA.
