Marie Grace Bertha, 70, passed away on December 8th, 2023 at her home in Fanwood, New Jersey. Born in Bronx, New York to John and Rose Cesarano, she moved to New Jersey in 1976 to raise her family.
Marie met her late husband, Bob, at a dance in high school and became high school sweethearts. After getting married in 1974 they moved to New Jersey in 1976. Prior to her son, Michael, she was an administrative assistant.
Marie loved her family, her dog, Gino; fashion; and spoiling her five grandchildren.
Marie is predeceased by her husband, Bob in early 2023.
She is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife Amber Simpson along with their children: Callie, Evie, Colin, Nick, and Lily; sister, Grace Cesarano Ortiz and her husband, Louie; Niece: Melanie, her spouse Timmy Vega, and their children: Dana, Amanda, and Tyler; aunt through marriage, Eleanor Bertha; and Mother-in-Law, Marjorie Bertha.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave. Fanwood, NJ 07023 on Friday, December 15th, 2023 from 3PM to 6:30PM. The service will begin at 6:30PM. Interment will be at 11:30AM on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's name to Plainfield Area Humane Society.
