Albert H. Bertha

Albert H. Bertha, 86, of Metuchen, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at RWJ University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in Carteret, he resided in Metuchen for 53 years. He was a Rutgers University graduate.
He worked for Witco Chemicals, Stolt Nielson, and retired from Telcordia Technologies in Red Bank, as a Facilities Manager.
Albert was a parishioner at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. He was an avid golfer and pool hustler. Albert was a man of many talents and was and was a gifted story teller. His favorite moments were with his family, where he would always be found smiling and loving every moment. His proudest accomplishment was his family that he loved so much.
He was predeceased by his twin brother, Nicholas Bertha, sister Christine Duffy, and brother Joseph Bertha.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Jeannette Bertha; children, Louis Bertha and his wife Terri, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Susan Reed and her husband Martin, of Milltown; five grandchildren, Louis Bertha, Jr., Nicholas Bertha and his wife Sarah, Jack Reed, Matthew Reed, and Chloe Reed; one great-grandson, Garrett Bertha.
The Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 2-4 and 7-9 with a Funeral Service at 3:30pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.
