Angela Alvira

Angela Alvira, 92, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 28, surrounded by her family.

She is predeceased by her husband, Luis Armando Alvira. Angela is survived but her son, Luis Alvira Jr., her daughters, Luz Marzan and Blanca Carmichael, five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Angela earned her Associates Degree from Hunter College. She managed her household in addition to heading the evening department at the St. Regis Hotel in NYC. She was admired but her peers and company for her work ethic.

Angela enjoyed traveling, theater and dining with her friends and she loved to crochet and needlepoint for her loved ones. Her life was guided by her devotion and love for her Catholic faith and church. Most important to Angela was being with and enjoying her family. They will miss her kindness, laughter, devotion and love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe, NJ. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen, NJ.
