Marie E. Bizzoco, 78, of
Oceanport, NJ, formerly of
New York, NY, passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2025.
Born on August 28th, 1947, in
New York, NY, Marie was the daughter of Elizabeth Brenda Thibadeau and Cornelius Francis Sullivan. She grew up alongside her beloved siblings-brothers Cornelius and William Sullivan, and sister Patricia Biggica-forming bonds that shaped her deep love of family.
Marie lived a life defined by determination, warmth, and an extraordinary ability to connect with others. She earned her Doctorate from New York University and went on to excel in several professional roles, including her early work as an EMT in Irvington, NJ. She later built a respected career in the legal field, ultimately serving as a Matrimonial Paralegal at Ansell, Grimm, & Aaron, PC, where she worked until her retirement in 2011.
Family was the heart of Marie's world. She was married to her devoted husband, Nicholas F. Bizzoco, with whom she shared a loving partnership from 1997 until her passing. Together, they created a life filled with travel, laughter, crossword puzzles, shared meals, and countless adventures. Marie was previously married to James Bischoff, with whom she shared cherished family ties.
Marie lived her life through kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to the people she loved. She embraced life with enthusiasm-whether she was cooking with Nick, enjoying a scenic car ride, savoring a cup of ice cream, cheering on her grandchildren at sporting events, and attending dance recitals and school activities. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren, often hosting gatherings, playing games, and creating traditions that will be remembered for generations. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her daughter Alicia going shopping, doing silly things together, taking pictures in funny hats, visiting wineries, having wine & cheese parties, and spending quality time together. She also loved her frequent phone calls with her son Pete hearing all about his work adventures, connecting with celebrities, and her grandchildren's accomplishments.
Marie's personality lit up every room she entered. She was outgoing, stylish, and spirited-a true people person who could form a bond with anyone. Friends and family often spoke of her strength, her determination, and her remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued.
Some of the fondest memories of Marie include traveling together, shopping trips, the occasional casino outing, cruises, road trips, and cozy evenings watching their favorite TV shows. She loved the finer things in life and found joy in simple pleasures-reading a good book, going out to dinner, cooking, traveling, and spending time with those she held dear. She was a devoted fan of Rod Stewart and Neil Diamond and cherished evenings spent watching television or shopping with her daughter and husband.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, who passed early in her life; her brother, William Sullivan; and her beloved grand-dogs Bruiser, Rocky, Chum Chum, Dakota, and Cody.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nicholas Bizzoco; her children Alicia & Peter Bischoff, her stepchildren Michael, Linda, Jeanne, and Kenneth Bizzoco; and her grandchildren Lana, Logan, Alexa, Gianna, & Matthew Bischoff, and Michael, Elena, Jessica, Dylan, & Evan Bizzoco, Hannah Wilcocks, and Kirstie Cumberledge. Her legacy lives on in each of them.
