Marie Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. on Feb. 26, 2026.
Marie Catherine Brown, 86, born on March 24, 1939, in Baltimore, to the late Anthony and Elizabeth Faro, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026.
Marie began her professional journey at Westinghouse and later graced the halls of Majestic Distillery with her dedication and hard work. However, it was in her role as a devoted homemaker where she truly flourished. She nurtured her family with the same love and care she poured into her passions- gardening, camping, and reading.
For 24 years, camping became a beloved pastime for Marie, where she embraced the beauty of nature and the joy of spending time with friends and loved ones in the great outdoors.
Marie was known as a delightful member of the Red Hat Society, where she savored the company of friends, celebrating life with laughter and vibrant camaraderie. She truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, often found curled up with a captivating book, lost in the stories that inspired her adventurous spirit.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her loving brother, Orizio Faro.
Marie is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Charles Brown II; loving children, Patricia Engel (Keith), Karen Scott and Charles Brown Jr. (Tammy); cherished grandchildren, Christina Lovar (Bobby), Brittany Moore (Justyn) and Ryan Colabove; and her adored great-grandchildren, Olivia, Bella, Becca, Benjamin and Jackson.
A visitation will take place on Monday, February 23rd, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services PA, located at 1 2nd Ave SW, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. A funeral service honoring her life will be held on Tuesday, February 24th, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
