Celebrating the life of Ms. Diane Mary Persinger

Ms. Diane Mary Persinger, 70, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, quietly departed this life on Saturday, February 21, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1955, to the late Blanford Persinger, Sr. and Madeline Evans Persinger.

Diane was a proud graduate of Atlantic High School and went on to dedicate her life to caring for others as a nurse - a role that perfectly matched her gentle spirit and compassionate heart. She had a natural way of making people feel comfortable, cared for, and understood.

At an early age, she joined Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she worshipped faithfully until moving out of the state. Her faith remained an important part of her life wherever she lived.

Diane found joy in the simple things. She loved settling in to watch her favorite soap operas and Lifetime movies, often getting completely wrapped up in the stories and characters. Those quiet moments were her way of relaxing and unwinding. More than anything, she treasured time with her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren, who meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Blanford Persinger, Sr. and Madeline Evans Persinger, and her sister, Catherine Patterson.

Left to cherish her memory are her two devoted daughters, Kiesha Marshall (Gregory) of Arlington, Texas, and Monique McDowell (Doran) of Severn, Maryland; her beloved grandchildren, Jace Robertson and Zara Robertson, who brought her great pride and joy; her dear brother, Blanford Persinger, Sr.

Diane leaves a loving circle of nieces and nephews, Shanice Patterson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Shakeva Persinger-Drummond (Lonzo) of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Jontae Persinger of Joppa, Maryland, Dejia Drummond of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Amirah Persinger of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Antonio Persinger of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jermaine Logan of Pocomoke, Maryland, Blanford Persinger, Jr. of Edgewood, Maryland, Jaquan Persinger of Poolesville, Maryland, Lonzo Drummond IV of Miami, Florida, and Samaar Darden of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Diane also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by her kindness, warmth, and quiet strength.

Though she is no longer physically present, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
