Rex Allen Persinger Jr.

Rex Allen Persinger, Jr, 41 of Rupert, passed away suddenly following a spontaneous intracranial hemorrhage at home on March 10, 2026. Rex was born on February 4, 1985, in Prince George County, Maryland. He was the son of Rex Allen Persinger, Sr. and the late Jane Anita Moreland Persinger.

Rex was a hard worker. He was employed at Tudors in Lewisburg and Wendy's in Harts Runt. He worked all of the time and was proud of his brand-new Chevrolet truck. Rex loved to fish and work in his shop during his time off. He sang and whistled all of the time but was always on the go and moving.

In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his mother.

Those left to cherish his time on earth are his father Rex Allen Persinger, Sr; sister Amanda King (Derek); nephews Derek King, Jr, nieces Kiara King and Nevaeh King; aunts Robbie Persinger, Donna Sue Sanders (Roy), Patty Cayton, Elsie Reese; uncles John Wayne Persigner and James Thomas Persinger; and his girlfriend Jenny Holmes.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 1:00pm at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle. Family will receive friends, co-workers, and neighbors from 12:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Hamilton Cemetery at Second Creek.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates any contributions to help with the expenses that were unexpected by all.
