Michael Randall Lyall

Michael "Bear" Randall Lyall 78, of Rainelle, passed away after a brief illness at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was born on June 3, 1947, at Loops Road to the late William Carl and Ila Hanson Lyall.

Fishing, hunting, hiking, leatherwork, blacksmithing, and karate were what Michael occupied his life with. He retired from the Greenbrier Hotel after forty years of service. Bear held two black belts in Karate. He really enjoyed flea markets and selling his "tools" he made.

Michael was "a religious man" and everything was black and white. There were no gray areas.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sister Molly Taylor, and nephews Charles Boone and W.C. Taylor.

Michael leaves behind Brenda, his wife of 58 years; sister Dolly Weese; brother Everette Lyall; two nieces Elizabeth Hook and Victoria Lyall; and two grand-nephews Riley and Chase Boone.

In keeping with his wishes Michael will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held later.
