Born on September 22, 1942, in Long Branch, NJ, Marie was the beloved daughter of the late Antoinette Marie Strollo-Latacz and Adolf "Lefty" Latacz. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony "Snooky" Christopher, with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Marie was a proud and dedicated stay-at-home mother who raised her two sons, Tony and
Vincent, with boundless love, humor, and care. She was also a hands-on, full-time sports
mom-always on the go, driving her boys to games and practices, then opening her home to
their teammates and friends for food, fun, and unforgettable memories.
She had a passion for painting, redecorating, shopping for the perfect bargain, and, most of all, cooking. Marie's kitchen was a place of comfort and tradition. Her famous eggplant, pancakes, and chicken cutlets were known and loved by all. If you were hungry, she fed you-no questions asked. Her door was always open, and her table always had room for one more.
Marie found joy in the simple pleasures of life: a well-made meal, a beautiful painting, a good deal at the store, and the warmth of family. Her generosity, sense of humor, and deep devotion to those she loved left a lasting imprint on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her two sons, Tony Christopher and Vincent Christopher and his wife Alicia, and her beloved grandson Jake Christopher.
