Marie "Mimi" Conaway age 66, of Cary, Illinois passed away September 28, 2025 in Barrington, Illinois. She was born in Evanston, Illinois on October 5, 1958 the daughter of Charles and Gloria Kegermann.

She loved hosting holiday parties and barbecues, and would always open her home to family and friends who were in town for a visit. She enjoyed days on the beach in Florida, where she vacationed often with her husband Jay. She was an animal lover who rescued 6 cats, and loved to feed the deer and coyotes at the gravel pit where she worked. She loved her job and dedicated 46 years to the company, working long hours to support her family. She was looking forward to retiring at the end of 2025.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Conaway; her son, Bob Conaway; her siblings, Katie Moskos, Tim Kegermann, Buffy Paulley, Paul Kegermann and Jeff Kegermann; also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Terry Kegermann, Penny Stanczak and Stephanie Kegermann.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., Algonquin.

Family & friends will gather on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 directly at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. 1st St., Cary for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 10:30 am
