Marie Wilson Davis, age 85, of Centerville, Utah, passed away peacefully February 11, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones and family.
She was born on July 9, 1940, in Hatch, Utah, to S. Jesse Wilson and Lilith Porter Wilson. Marie grew up in southern Utah and graduated from Panguitch High School. She later attended Dixie College, where she continued her education before moving to Salt Lake City and beginning her life’s work devoted to family, faith, and service.
On December 16, 1961, Marie married Lyle Wesley Davis. Together they built a life centered on love and devotion, and she was blessed with seven children, thirty-six grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. Marie took great joy in the gospel of Jesus Christ and in serving others throughout her life. She loved the outdoors and especially cherished time spent at her cabin on her parents’ homestead ranch near Hatch, Utah.
Marie is survived by her loving husband, Lyle; their seven children and their spouses; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, at the LDS Chapel located at 270 North 300 East, Centerville, Utah. An additional viewing will take place from 9:00–10:30 a.m. Monday in the Relief Society Room, followed by a family prayer from 10:30–11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in the chapel.
