Marie F. "Crawford" Dee

Marie F. Dee, age 78, of Woodside, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2025.

Born on May 21, 1947, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Marie made Woodside her home for more than 50 years. She enjoyed a long and dedicated career in the utilities field, working at both Chesapeake Utilities and the City of Dover Electric Department.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles J. Dee, Jr., and her sister, Jude Crawford. She is survived by her two daughters, Diana Lewis and her husband James, and Holly Dee. She was a proud grandmother to Jacob Dickerson and his girlfriend Shelby DuBois, Joshua Lewis, and Ronan Dee. Marie is also survived by her brothers, John Crawford and Richard Crawford and his wife Susan.

Marie's family was at the center of her life. She treasured many family trips to Disney World and enjoyed crocheting, decorating cakes, collecting Disney figurines and lighthouses, playing Farmville, and watching classic television shows like Perry Mason and Leave It to Beaver, and Fox News. Her potato salad, macaroni salad, and deviled eggs were favorites that will be dearly missed at family gatherings.

A funeral service will be held Monday, September 29, 2025, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. with the service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes, or Delaware Hospice.
