Marie Antoinette Dillon
Marie Antoinette Dillon, 76, formerly of Walnutport, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, at NW McHenry Hospital McHenry IL.
Born Thursday, Aug. 30, 1945, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late Anthony Carl Bapston and Beatrice Fittos.
She was also prede-ceased by her husband, Thomas P. Dillon; sister, Charlotte Silfies.
Surviving are son, Thomas Dillon, and his wife Lori, with whom she resided of Crystal Lake, IL; daughters, Denise Dillon, and her companion Andrew Benderoth, of Breinigsville, and Christine Anne "Tina" Dillon of Lansford; eight-grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
A Lansford High School graduate, Marie retired from Macy's in Whitehall, and previously worked in customer service for PNC Bank.
A former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church of Walnutport, Marie was a talented seamstress, knitter and enjoyed needlepoint. Marie was a great cook, and baker. She was a member of the bowling league in Allentown and liked camping with her family.
Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, in St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 307 Pine St., Tamaqua. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua.
