Marie E. Epler, 91, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Epler who passed away in 2019. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late George and Irma (Szakaly) Bognar. Marie was a graduate of Liberty High School. She was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Allentown where she sang with the funeral choir and was the coordinator for Attic Treasures at the summer festival for over 20 years. Marie enjoyed going to auctions and was very well-known in the auction community.
Survivors: Sons: Richard and his companion Luann Persing, Gerard and his wife Lori, Thomas and his wife Stephanie, Charles Jr. and his wife Tammy, James and his wife Lisa, Christopher; Grandchildren: Emily Frankenfield and her husband Matt, Sarah Epler and her husband Charles Goetz, Ryan and his wife Bonnie, Devon and his wife Audrey, Stephen, Jonathan, Megan, Marissa, Karina, Nicholas; Great-grandchildren: Adriana and Joseph Frankenfield. Marie was predeceased by sons Robert and Gregory and her brother George.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Wednesday, March 20, 2024, St. Francis of Assisi, 1046 W. Cedar St., Allentown 18102. Call 9 – 10 am Wednesday in the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., .
