Marie Jacobsen April 22, 1940 – March 29, 2026
Marie Jacobsen (nee Fresco) of Maplewood, NJ passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026 at the age of 85.
Marie was born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Rose (nee Ghiretti) and Carmen Fresco. A graduate of West Side High School in 1958, she had resided in Maplewood since 1976.
After dedicating many years to caring for her home and family as a homemaker, Marie later brought that same sense of commitment and reliability into the workforce. She went on to build a meaningful career in the banking industry, taking on a variety of roles where she was known for her strong work ethic and warm personality. Marie ultimately concluded her professional journey at Fidelity in Springfield, NJ, where she spent her final working years before retiring.
Marie's greatest love was for her family. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Norman J. Jacobsen. Marie is survived by her loving children, John Jacobsen, Glen Jacobsen (Alma), sister Jeanne Shepley, brother Anthony Fresco and her cherished grandchildren, Jake, Ava, Henry, Ian, Owen, and Julianne.
