Marie E. Koppenhaver

Marie E. Koppenhaver, 98, of Gratz, passed away on February 2, 2022, at the Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. She was born in Gratz on February 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Nettie and George Klinger.
She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, and Goal Mates. Marie was the church organist, Sunday School teacher, member of the Willing Workers and sang in the choir. Marie was the Superintendent of Needlework at the Gratz Fair. She enjoyed crafting, ceramics, needle work, flowers and bird watching.
Marie is survived by her two sons, Gary (Carol) Koppenhaver, Bruce (Linda) Koppenhaver; daughter, Jane Shade; brother, Glenn (Gloria) Klinger; grandchildren, Stacy, Nicole, Tara and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Eli. She was preceded in death by husband, Gilbert Koppenhaver, and brother, Russell Klinger.
A viewing will be held on February 8, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz. Interment will take place in the Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz.
