Esther Louise Keefer was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, November 7, 2025. She was born December 17, 1942, in Millersburg, PA to J. Mark Keefer and Ruth A. Gingrich Keefer. She is survived by her two brothers, James R. Keefer, New Holland, PA and John M. Keefer (Faithe), Lewistown, PA, her sister, Doris A. Smeltz (Edmund), Lewisburg, PA, sister-in-law, Trudy L. Keefer, Millersburg, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Rahn M. Keefer and sister-in-law, Janet H. Keefer.
Esther was a lifelong member of the Free Grace Brethren in Christ church, Millersburg, PA where she attended faithfully, served as a cheerful greeter and participated in church events with great joy, especially Love Feast each year.
She looked forward with great anticipation to the week she spent at Roxbury Camp meeting each year.
Esther worked at Stephenson's Flower Shop, Seal Glove Factory and Goodwill Industries.
She had an incredible memory of scriptures, hymns/songs, historical facts, people's names and dates. She also had many favorites like cardinals, the color red, cats, living on the family farm, the American flag, blue grass music, Chevys, and ice cream. Most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at her church, the Free Grace Brethren in Christ Church in Millersburg, PA, on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 3 pm, with her brother Rev. John M. Keefer officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to Gideon's International in Memory of Esther L. Keefer. Each $5.00 contribution places a Bible inscribed "In Memory of Esther L. Keefer".
