Marie M. Larson

Marie M. (Doyon) Larson, 95, of Bristol, widow of Paul D. Larson, died on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at Bristol Hospital.

Marie was born on May 7, 1930, in St. Ludger, Quebec, Canada and was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Bernard) Doyon.

She was raised and attended school in Canada before immigrating to the United States and settling in Bristol in 1950.

Marie worked as an assembler for Bussmann Manufacturing for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed making and painting ceramics.

Marie is survived by twin daughters: Diane McGivney and Armand Spardone and Denise and Francis "Butch" Bellini, all of Bristol; a daughter-in-law: Donna Gilbert; five grandchildren: Gina Vaccaro and husband, Ed, Lisa Bernardino and husband, Nuno, Joseph Gilbert and wife, Charleen Amato, Shelly Brown and husband, Scott and Craig Bellini; six great grandchildren: Austin Gilbert, Sofia Vaccaro, Max Brown, Leo Bernardino, Olivia Vaccaro and Collin Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son: Bruno Gilbert; three siblings: Henry Doyon, Suzanne Gilbert and Carmelle Pepin; and her former husband, Armand Gilbert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (March 21, 2026) at 10 AM at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol.
