Marie M. Ludka

Our beautiful mother, Marie DellaRocco Ludka, 98, left her grateful, grieving daughters early Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2022. She was eager to be reunited with her beloved John, who has been waiting for her for almost 10 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Concetta DellaRocco, and 8 of her younger siblings, Leonard, Lee O'Brien, Matilda Ciotoli, Alfred, Theresa Perez, Joseph Jr., Tommy, and Christine Capalaces. And his son-in-law Michael Kapogiannatos. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and John Shiptenko, and sister-in-law Josephine DellaRocco. Missing her already are her daughters, Bernadette Mars, Jean Marie (Victor) Vavalle, Joni (Michael) Cermak, and Julianne Ludka. As well as her special loves, her nine grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She was the creator of all things Italian at the original Pancho's Pit. There was mutual affection between her and the staff on South 2 at Willow Point who gave her such gentle, loving care. We are so very grateful to them.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton on Monday from 4pm to 6pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
