Marie Albertha Noordhoek, born on November 8, 1942, in Sioux Center, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 23, 2025. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family and community will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

On May 15, 1959, in Hull, Iowa, Marie married the love of her life, Leon Noordhoek. Together, they built a life centered on faith, hard work, and family, sharing many years of love and partnership.

Marie lived a life marked by quiet strength and kindness. She found joy in serving others, caring for her home, and creating a warm, welcoming space for family and friends. Additionally, she served as a CMA/CNA for 15 years, caring for the sick and elderly with gentleness and respect, providing comfort and dignity to those in her care.

Marie was preceded in death by her father, William Van Goudswaard, and her mother, Nellie Klarenbeek.

She is survived by her husband, Leon Noordhoek; children, Michael Noordhoek (Joanna), Mark Noordhoek, Leisa Stoddard (Keith), and Leanne Noordhoek. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Bobby Rodenberg (Gregory), Jason Stoddard (Lori), Nichole Brownlee (Jamie), Brandon Noordhoek (Cheyenne), Aaron Stoddard (Tabatha), Nathan Noordhoek (Samantha), Elizabeth Starrett (Nick), Travis Noordhoek, Alexander Weber (Brandi), Christopher Starrett (Samantha), and Monique Robson (Jed).
