Marie (Sandner) Proodian, 96, a longtime resident of Stoneham, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on November 19, 2024.
She was born on February 20, 1928 and raised in Furth, Germany, where she met her husband, the late Edward H. Proodian, Jr. during WWII. She immigrated to the US at the age of 19 as one of the first war brides.
She was the loving mother of Paul Proodian, his wife Wendy Proodian, Lisa Proodian, and the late Glenn Proodian and Gary Proodian. She was the adoring grandmother of Rose Proodian, John Proodian and the late Katie Proodian.
A private service was held at the Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, Stoneham.
