Marie Senff Obituary

Marie worked for 40 years at the University of DE. She will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her family.
Marie is survived by her husband of 36 years John T. Senff; son Tom R. Senff (Ashley) of Wilmington; brothers Jeff Oratorio, Steve Oratorio and Rob Oratorio (Glenda) all of Wilmington. She is also survived by sisters Carol Angeloni of Newark, DE and Linda Palmer of Hockessin, DE and her beloved dog Peyton.
Family and friends are invited to visit the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd, Pike Creek on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM, with funeral services beginning at 12:00PM. Entombment will immediately follow the funeral service at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marie's name may be made to Faithful Friends Animal Society, 165 Airport Rd., New Castle, DE 19720 or visit www.faithfulfriends.us

I am so sorry to learn of Marie's passing! She was a fixture in my work at the University for so many years. We first met when she was a new University employee at the ripe age of about 18. She was 'my' secretary. When I became Director of the Delaware Center for Teacher Education, she moved to the Center with me. She was a dear colleague who always worked above and beyond to support everyone in Center. Her latest position was in the College of Education and Human Development's Human Resources department. She will be missed greatly by everyone in the College. She truly was a dear, sweet, helpful person, one taken much too young!
