Marie Siciliano, beautiful wife, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at her home on February 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was surrounded by the things she loved- her beautiful paintings, books, treasured photos, and most importantly, her husband, Bob.
Marie was born on December 24, 1942, in Delta, Utah, to Lyman and Sarah Finlinson. She grew up in Oak City, Utah, the eldest of eight children. She was a hard worker on her family's farm, helping with chores and caring for her younger siblings, who lovingly called her "Bossy." She enjoyed riding horses in the hills and the splendor of nature. Marie's path for education and work eventually led her to live in Salt Lake City, where she met her husband, Bob Siciliano. They were married by her father, Lyman Finlinson, in Oak City, Utah, on June 18, 1966.
Marie and Bob were truly life partners – where one was, the other was. Whether it was traveling abroad, dining out on Friday evenings, working side-by-side in their garden, going for walks, or watching movies at home, it was always the two of them, a testament to true love and devotion.
Marie's extraordinary beauty was nearly matched by her many talents. She was a wonderful cook, making dinners that would rival those of any five-star chef. She was a remarkable seamstress, fashioning beautiful clothing for her family along with the most intricate and beautiful Barbie Doll clothes imaginable for her younger sisters. Marie was a talented artist and spent many hours creating beautiful works of art that she generously shared with others. She was also a very gifted writer, having several of her works published throughout the years.
Marie's family is grateful to those who have helped provide loving care and support to both her and Bob throughout this journey. Her infectious laugh and beautiful smile will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. "Those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity."
Marie is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Siciliano, her siblings: Sylvia Stevens, Sara Suwyn, Robyn (Milt) Mayhew, Joe (Trudy) Finlinson, Meladee (Mark) Maggos. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Sarah Finlinson, sister, Kathy Smith, brother Mason Finlinson, and her two much- loved and adored puppies, Princess, and Sunshine.
