Cookie's occupation was in the field of insurance. She ended her career at Durham and Bates as assistant vice-president in 2006.
Throughout the years, Cookie was a tireless volunteer for many projects. After retirement she especially gave her time to parish tasks, services, and the Altar Society.
Cookie is survived by her special friend, Dave Gill, who showed his devotion to her in many ways; sisters, Joanne Swartout of Menifee, Calif., Donna Pasero of Portland, Ore.; nieces; a nephew; many cousins; and all of her friends from Taggart Street and St. Philip's.
Memorial Mass at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, SE 16th and Division, Portland, Ore., on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11 a.m.
