Marie K Walser

Marie K. Walser, 89, of Ferdinand, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at her home. Marie was born July 4, 1936 in Ferdinand, Idaho to F.J (Joe) and Theresa (Lauer) Walser. She was the fourth of 8 children. She attended school at Icicle Flats till 4th grade and graduated from St Maurus School at 8th grade.
Following her 8th grade graduation, Marie began babysitting and caretaking around the area. She attended nurses aid school and after completing the course she worked at the Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation center for 50 years through all the names changes. Marie was a very quiet person but easy to get along with in her nursing career.
Marie had a love for bingo, pinochle, puzzles, picking fruit and the rodeo on the 4th of July. She enjoyed attending the local fair, sausage feeds, rodeos, and Greencreek celebrations.
Marie was a lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church in Ferdinand.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Carl, Fred, infant brother Clarence, Sisters Martha Pierstorff and Helen Lubbers, nephews Gregory Wallace, Randy and Roger Schneider and niece Cynthia Schneider.
Marie is survived by her sisters, Alice Wallace and Aggie Walser and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 10:30 am at Assumption Catholic Church, Ferdinand, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00.
