Marietta Feather Obituary
Marietta Irene Long Feather was born on May 28th, 1997, in Bismarck, ND to Lucia Hairy Chin and Thomas Long Feather Jr. She had five brothers, Trevor, Taylor and Trent Otter Robe, Mason Long Feather and Truby Hairy Chin. She also had four sisters Thomasine, Margaret and Gertrude Long Feather and Lydia Weasel.
Marietta spent her childhood years in Fort Yates, ND. She attended Elementary School in Fort Yates, ND and attended Middle School and High School in McLaughlin, SD. She was in wrestling, boxing, and jiu-jitsu classes. Her dream was to get in that cage as a professional MMA Fighter.
Marietta loved to cook, listen to music, attend concerts, go for walks, laughing and hanging out with friends, spending time with family, especially spending time with her sister Thomasine, and nieces and nephews making memories. Her favorite thing to do was to watch the sunrises and sunsets. She had the most loving heart; she left a mark with all who had the honor to meet her. She was our protector. Marietta entered the spirit world on August 6th, 2025, in Sioux Falls, SD. She will be greatly loved and missed by everyone. Doksa Ake Wacinkikte Our Beautiful M.
Marietta is survived by her sisters Thomasine Long Feather of Mobridge, SD, Gerty Long Feather of Fort Yates, ND, Lydia Weasel of McLaughlin, SD. Brothers Trevor Otter Robe of Sioux Falls, SD, Taylor Otter Robe of Bismarck, ND, Trent Otter Robe of Tacoma, WA, Mason Long Feather of Rugby, ND, Truby Hairy Chin of McLaughlin, SD.
Her Aunts Lila Long Feather of McLaughlin, SD, Ann (Verdell) Bobtail Bear of Little Eagle, SD, Melinda (Bill) Mutchler of Rock Creek, SD, Velnita Hair Chin of Aberdeen, SD, Rosette Hairy Chin of Bismarck, ND. Cousins Saul & Sierra Bobtail Bear, Samuel & Ronald Long Feather Jr, Laura (Tito) Martinez, Kelsey (Tyler) White Bull, Ashley (Bryan)
Lopez-Rivera. Romaira & Romani Silk. Her nieces & nephews Taylon, Dorian, Thomia, Tatum & Teigan Marie, Kaleb Jordan, Aria, Layla, Julian, Benjamin, Marayah, Rafael, Sarah, Emilia.
Marietta is preceded in death by her parents Lucia Hairy Chin and Thomas Long Feather Jr. Her sister Margaret Long Feather. Her cousin Sadie Bobtail Bear. Her paternal grandparents Edith & Thomas Long Feather Sr., Maternal Grandparents Donald Hairy Chin Sr & Angeline Qualtiere. Her uncles Ronald Long Feather Sr, Samuel Long Feather. Her Hunka brothers Ryan White Mountain & Sam Welch.
