Marietta Jean Ringger (Piacenti) passed away on July 30, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Marietta was born on February 26,1936 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Silvio and Alba Piacenti.
Marietta is survived by two sisters, Sylvia Piacenti Corson and Noella Piacenti Orlandini, and two brothers, John Carmen Piacenti and Edward Mack Moore. She also leaves behind four children, Kirk Edward Covert and wife Debra Covert, Karl Jean Covert, Kenneth William Covert and Roslyn Alba Snyder husband Larry, as well as eight grandchildren, Shawna Renee Covert (Jason) Willoughby, Derek Edward Covert, Kandra Nicole Covert, Kenneth William Covert Jr, Megan Ashley Covert, Peyton Marietta Daley ( Daniel),and James Alan Snyder II. She also had great grandchildren, Claire Marie Willougby, Isaiah Luis, Nathan Xavier, Charles Wesley, Deidrick Kingston, Erica Rose Covert and Charlotte Roslyn Daley.
Marietta will be fondly remembered as a star pupil of the Bonneth Twins Dance studio and opened her own studio that grew from her childhood home basement to the Civic Center before she graduated from Bloom High School, Chicago Heights in 1953.
She worked in Sales for Mattel toys then brought her style and glam to Zsa Zsa Gabore cosmetics.Marietta's beauty was well matched by her sense of humor marked by a joke library that has circled the globe. Her adventurous life, funny impressions and punchlines will live on forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a dear friend's home in Jupiter, FL on Friday, August 16, 2024 followed by one with family and a "sendoff cruise" in Chicago.
