Mariette Agnes (Weller) DeMorett was born on August 30, 1940 to Mardell and Donald Weller, and passed away on September 12, 2025. Mariette grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota as the oldest of six children. She spent the beginning of her adulthood as a stay-at-home mother, raising her two sons. From there she went to work at the former Twin City Federal bank and then moved to Carmichael-Lynch advertising as one of the mailroom workers. Over time, the need for a mailroom decreased, but her role as a personality at the company grew and she was sorely missed when she retired from the company at age 80. Mariette was an avid supporter of her two sons when they were growing up, rarely missing a baseball or basketball game, as well as, cross-country or swim meets. She had a number of different hobbies over the years, which included reading, bowling, painting, and crossword puzzles amongst others. Later in life, she found a dedication to football and watched as many games as she could. Two of her biggest loves over the years were animals and chocolate. She supported anything animal related and always had an ample supply of chocolate on hand. She is survived by her two sons: Andrew (Mary) and Paul (Pam), eight grandchildren: Kelly (Jeff) Munoz, Josh (Jess) DeMorett, Ben (Kenna) DeMorett, Abby (Kody) Novinska, Mason (Elizabeth) DeMorett, Lydia (Connor) Canfield, Jared DeMorett, and Emily DeMorett, three great-grandchildren: Zoe Munoz, Kenny and Charlee Novinska. The memorial service for Mariette will be held on September 21 at Washburn-McReavy in Crystal, MN. Visitation at 12:00 noon, service at 1:00 pm with dessert refreshments to follow.
